Sea Passion Yachting · Ayia Napa Marina, Cyprus
Practical guidance. Greater confidence.
Good boat handling starts with understanding how a yacht behaves. At Sea Passion Yachting, we offer personalised, hands-on guidance to help you get to know your boat and feel more confident in your manoeuvres.
Lessons take place on Sea Passion Yachting’s Sea Ray 425 or on your own boat, with the content tailored to your experience, the equipment on board and the skills you would like to practise.
Practical handling inside and outside the marina
We work step by step through departure preparation, casting off, low-speed manoeuvring, entering and leaving the marina, approaching a berth and mooring. You learn to assess the space available, the wind and the way the boat responds to your inputs.
The aim is to understand what is happening around you and make considered, controlled adjustments, rather than simply memorise a sequence of movements.

Get to know your boat’s electronics
We explain chartplotters and electronic charts in practical terms: reading essential information, creating waypoints and routes, monitoring your course and understanding the information that supports navigation.
The goal is to use the equipment with understanding, alongside a proper lookout, an assessment of conditions and sound seamanship.

Understand the controls on board
Practice can include the wheel and engine controls, bow or stern thrusters, and joystick handling, depending on the equipment fitted to the boat used for the lesson.
Joystick training is available only on a boat equipped with a joystick. This does not mean that the Sea Ray 425 has a joystick.

Guidance built around your needs
Whether you have recently bought a boat or want to improve particular manoeuvres, we build the practice around your real needs. Depending on the programme and conditions, we can also work on anchoring, planning a short passage and coordinating with the person helping you moor.
Tell us about your experience, the boat you would like to use and what you want to practise. We will suggest an appropriate programme.

Your next step at the helm
Let us know where you feel confident and where you would like more practice. We will discuss a lesson that fits you and the boat.
