A considered choice starts with the right questions
Buying a yacht is a significant decision. Beyond appearance, brand and price, you need to know whether it suits the way you plan to use it, your experience and the realities of ownership.
At Sea Passion Yachting, we help you assess your options, drawing on years of practical experience with different yacht brands, sizes and types.
Experience from the helm, the marina and the passage
Through delivering and handling different yachts, we have gained first-hand experience of propulsion systems, control layouts, electronics and behaviour at sea.
That experience helps us discuss the specific strengths, limitations and day-to-day demands of your options, beyond what you can see in listing photographs.
Which yacht fits your life?
We start with your needs: where you will cruise, how many guests you expect, whether you prefer day trips or overnight stays, and whether you plan to handle the yacht yourself or use a skipper.
We discuss size, layout, access to the water, ease of handling and equipment requirements. We also consider the main categories of ownership costs, including fuel, maintenance, berthing and possible upgrades, so you have a fuller picture before deciding.
Support before you buy
We can help you compare specific yachts and listings, identify questions that need clarification and, by arrangement, accompany you on a viewing or sea trial.
Our advice focuses on practical suitability and how the yacht will be used. A specialist pre-purchase survey by a marine surveyor, along with any necessary mechanical or legal checks, are separate stages of the buying process.
From choosing your yacht to knowing it
After the purchase, we can discuss delivery to your destination and hands-on familiarisation with the yacht’s handling and equipment.
